Sintered Nd-Fe-B Sintered Nd-Fe-B magnet can be used for a wide range, including DVD pick-up/CD-ROM reader/laser head, nuclear magnetic resonance, coil motor, speaker, motor and various magnetic sensors and electronic magnetic force control units.
Sintered Nd-Fe-B magnet obtains its name because it needs to be sintered in high-temperature vacuum furnace. Its shape and size are accomplished with various machines. As the mechanic processing performance of this magnet is bad, it is very simple in shape, including disk, square and C-shape or other irregular shapes.
It is easy to be rusted. The method to prevent rust is to have protective surface treatment, including galvanization, nickel plating and electrophoresis; and also, phosphatizing treatment can be used to delay oxide and rust.
The corrosion endurance of every plating varies. See the attached schedule for details. In application, it is necessary to consider completely the actual application environment and period and choose the fittest treatment method accordingly.
Sintered Nd-Fe-B magnet is rigid, frangible and easy to be corroded. Mutual attraction between magnets due to magnetic force or adherence to different magnets suddenly shall be avoided, because this may destroy the completeness of the magnet and thus cause damages or breaches.
